The solution to keeping your kids safe: take them out of the Ayers/Obama run schools

It seems everyone has an opinion when it comes to comments made by the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre, calling for armed guards in every school in order to protect the most precious among us, our children.

It is understandable in the wake of the Newtown massacre that many are seeking a solution to the violence perpetrated in an elementary school — a place parents felt safe leaving their kids.

While the debate on gun control continues to rage, I submit to you that violence is but one danger facing school aged children. There is a solution offering the best protection available: remove your children from the government school system altogether.

Too radical?  I disagree, and so may you in light of recent comments made by Bill Ayers at New York University’s “Change the Stakes” meeting.

You may remember Bill Ayers as the terrorist turned college professor, and founding member of The Weather Underground. He’s also the man who held Barack Obama’s “coming out” meeting.

In his speech, Ayers laments how his pal Obama did not deliver in his first term on the liberal policies he and his brethren wish to see implemented in the US. Nor does he feel the President will deliver in his second term unless more engage locally. In the video above, Ayers said:

If we want change to come, we would do well not to look at the sites of power we have no access to: the White House, the Congress, the Pentagon … We have absolute access to the community, the school, the neighborhood, the street, the classroom, the workplace, the shop, the farm. … Why are we ignoring that and saying, ‘I hope Obama makes peace?’ … Forget about it. He’s not going to do anything if you don’t do something.

Personally, I have experienced enough of Barack Obama’s agenda for America. It is  frightening that those such as Ayers feel the President has not gone far enough. Great strides have been made already implementing policies Obama referred to during his October 19, 1998 appearance at a Loyola College forum on community organizing. The policies mentioned included wealth redistribution, healthcare reform and gun control. Listen to the full audio at The Daily Caller.

At the forum, then State Senator Obama said:

What I think will re-engage people in politics is if we’re doing significant, serious policy work around what I will label the ‘working poor’ … They are struggling. And to the extent that we are doing research figuring out what kinds of government action would successfully make their lives better, we are then putting together a potential majority coalition to move those agendas forward.

For those unable to decode political speak, he is saying: if we (the Democrat party) make the working poor dependent enough on government, they will gladly vote into office those who will continue giving them that upon which they have become dependent. The reelection of Obama indicates they were successful. Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney blamed his loss on exactly this.

Do Barack Obama or the Democrat party offer those dependent on government any hope for a better life? No. They offer more dependence, assuring his party’s reelection and control.

According to Mr. Ayers, in order to further push the boundaries of the liberal agenda forward, more work should be done locally, including in our government controlled school system. Educating our children to believe what he believes — what our President believes — is Ayers’ ultimate goal.

So, while considering the best avenue to protect your children after the Newtown massacre, I submit that you may want to consider alternatives to the government controlled education system. Drop the armed guard debate and instead provide your children an education where, as a parent, you shape their educational experience.

Don’t leave your children susceptible to becoming a member of “generation Barack Obama.”

Great Piece! It really is a shame no mainstream media outlets have shed any light on Ayers’ history, agenda, and connection to our President.

  2. There are very few alternatives for parents. Although home schooling may be the best solution, for many middle class Americans home schooling is not an option if both parents must work. This is the exact dilemma the left has been working so hard to accomplish – starting in the 70’s – make the economy so that it requires two paychecks to make ends meet. Having put my own child in private secular schools I found they were almost as liberal as public schools. In my opinion, there is no easy solution to this problem other than for conservatives to continue to fight back against the left’s agenda through economics, as the left has notoriously done over decades. The teachers’ unions and the U.S. Department of Education are powerful forces.
